hyper 7

Hello, firstly sorry for the english.
WE have seen the Hyper 7 PBS nr 4906 at andys-hobbyshop for 535 euro. has anyone bought one of these and is it the complete package with 8 port motor, starter box and radio.
how do you guys rate the hyper 7 compared with the mbx 5 ?

I'm happy that our board has also some far-away visitors - and i'll have to excuse for my bad English
Right now, we've a track test of the Hyper 7 online, the link is

(apart from being written in German, you can image due to the rating of 9,5/10 that Ben ratet this model very high - mostly because of the excellent performance for the price (which is a bit higher than the one, you mentioned)

However, we have yet no tracktest of an MBX-5 (because that buggy is VERY new in Austria) but there are some impressions of other drivers at this board - and i may do a summary if you want to.

4906 includes just the ready built car with the HYPER 21 8-port engine.
There's no radio including.

I have a friend who has a Hyper 7 and it is very tough but I have heard that the Mugen andothers handle a lot better. I have not heard anything about the MBX5 yet.

Also is the PBS better than the standard suspension?

Personally, i'm more in favour of the Pivot Ball Suspension than the Steering Block version found on a Kyosho MP for example.
You can adjust the camber in the front and camber & toe in/out in the rear easier
I think it's the PBS of the MBX-5 an Hyper 7 is a bit thougher than the Steering Blocks.

(which of course doesn't mean, that the steering block /c-hub version isn't good! its just my personal view)

because of posts of others that actually drive the new one, i got the impression that it handles better than the MBX4 - but we'll see what they say

our tracktest is about 4905 Hyper 7 Pro R,
but now we are talking about 4906 Hyper 7 PBS.

I think that these are 2 very different Cars because:
-PBS Suspension
-different shocks
- no carbon-parts
-different wheelbase
-no thorsen- center differntial-gear
...

Are you intrested in buying the PBS? (532 EUR)?

Please also have a look at the PRO-R (430 Euro)
I think it would be the better one and for 130 EUR you get a good enigine at the same (or a higher) level as the HYPER engine

Thats what I thought. I already have a GS Storm butfancy a change. The PBS is very good value but do yu know if the Mugen would be a lot better?

I'm sorry, I've never held a Mugen in my hands, my religion is Kyosho

But there are some Mugen experts in here, I'm sure they can help you
